1946 Dollar Sign #6 Monopoly Game

Parker Brothers was not very clear as to the #6 Game designation. Collectors commonly refer to #6 Games as Blue Box Games. But, based on Parker Brothers game inserts, the #6 also covers "Black Bound" boards which I have designated as the Dollar Sign ($) #6 Edition. The $ is the most prominent feature on these Black Box/Board Games and gives a clearer distinction between the two #6 games. Also, in Parker Brothers inserts from 1938 onward, the #6 games were also referred to as Junior Editions. The 1946 Dollar Sign #6 game is the only game that actually had the #6 printed on the Board and Game Box.

Tokens reappear on Box Cover. Metal tokens are back with several changes including the horse with rider, car with driver and the WW1 artillery cannon. The Salmon colored 100s are now a light yellow color.

Reg. U.S. Patent Office is fully spelled out on existing versions. From 1946 onward, there are major changes to the playing squares on the board. The Chest appears on Community Chest and the Diamond Ring on Luxury Tax.

This set in Very Good Condition is Rare.
